Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a full-time, creative and experienced Chef to become a key part of our friendly team. Our Cafe/Tea Room is known for local products, warm hospitality, and a relaxed inviting atmosphere, we are looking for someone who can help us keep delighting our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef to showcase leadership skills, the Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards, managing food preparation, and inspiring team members to deliver outstanding service.

What the Role Involves:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the Cafe/Tea rooms standards and recipes Contributing ideas to menus and seasonal specials Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and timing Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality and customer service Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to optimise efficiency Supporting occasional evening for special events

About You:

Experienced in a cafe, bistro or similar kitchen environment with a strong background in food preparation and cooking Reliable, organised and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team Able to keep calm, positive and efficient during busy periods Demonstrable skills in food safety standards and hygiene practices Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate others Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management
