Overview:
We're looking for passionate, experienced Commis Chef, Floor & Bar Staff to join our opening team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a luxury environment where service, presentation, and attention to detail matter. You'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to every guest, both on the floor and at the bar.
Key Responsibilities:
Commis Chef Responsibilities :
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily preparation and cooking of authentic Japanese ramen dishes and side items.
Prepare ingredients such as ramen noodles, broths, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and storage areas, following food hygiene and safety regulations.
Support with stock rotation, inventory control, and receiving of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and adherence to restaurant standards.
Assist in plating and presentation of dishes to ensure visual appeal and portion accuracy.
Follow kitchen procedures and operational checklists to maintain efficiency during service.
Floor Service:
Greet and seat guests with professionalism and warmth.
Take and serve food and drink orders promptly and accurately.
Maintain a clean, well-organized dining area, ensuring high presentation standards.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
Provide menu recommendations and ensure guests receive an exceptional experience.
Bar Duties:
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, sake, and specialty beverages.
Create new drink recipes in line with Kinoya's concept and style.
Manage bar inventory, stock control, and supplier orders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
Handle POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
General:
Work collaboratively across teams to support daily operations.
Uphold hygiene, safety, and presentation standards as per Harrods' expectations.
Support opening and closing duties as required.
Experience & Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in hospitality (restaurant or bar environment).
Strong knowledge of drinks, mixology, and basic bar operations.
Confident providing table service and engaging with high-end clientele.
IT savvy - comfortable using POS systems and managing stock digitally.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude.
Right to work in the UK.
Immediate availability preferred.
