Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes. Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development. Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience in menu planning and development is advantageous.
