Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals
Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Assist in menu planning and development to enhance customer satisfaction
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory effectively
Train new team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain organised workstations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Previous experience in food production and restaurant service is advantageous
Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not essential
