We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that our restaurant maintains the highest quality of food and service.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of culinary excellence.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.
Assist in the preparation of meals during peak service times.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
