Overview



We are seeking a talented and experienced Caribbean Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership skills to supervise and inspire the kitchen staff. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service within our restaurant.

Duties



Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining the restaurant's identity. Pricing of Menus to ensure profitability. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Monitor food production processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques, safety procedures, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.

Experience



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques, with a deep understanding of various cuisines. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in both food presentation and kitchen management. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to help others develop their culinary skills.
