- Create and prepare high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
- Oversee the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Develop and maintain standardized recipes to ensure consistency in food quality
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to plan menus and specials
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
