Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards throughout all food preparation processes.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing a team.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods of food preparation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
