We are seeking 4 talented and passionate Chef's to join Ebony Table, our brand new dynamic West African Restaurant and Brasserie., in Hatfield. The ideal candidates will have a strong culinary background and a flair for creating exceptional West African dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will be responsible for food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene and managing kitchen operations when on duty, efficiently. This role requires excellent team management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Develop new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols.
Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and maintenance checks.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef with the passion for West African dishes within a restaurant setting or catering events.
Strong knowledge of West African food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff effectively.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential.
