Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment. Managing the people around you, and working under pressure whilst maintaining a cool head is an essential requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste through effective stock control. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Monitor kitchen performance, providing feedback and support to team members as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Comprehensive knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and food safety practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Passion for cooking with an eye for detail in food presentation. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential.
