Overview: We are seeking a skilled Assistant Chef to join our team in a bustling Indian and English restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in food preparation, kitchen management, and team supervision to ensure the smooth operation of our culinary establishment. Duties: - Support the Head Chef in all kitchen activities and food production processes - Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation according to set recipes and standards - Supervise kitchen staff to guarantee efficient workflow and high-quality dishes - Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times - Contribute to menu planning and development alongside the culinary team - Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good condition - Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area - Collaborate with the restaurant management team to deliver exceptional dining experiences Qualifications: - Proven experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory role - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team - Proficient in food safety practices and regulations - Excellent knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices - Skilled in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting - A passion for delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service - Relevant qualifications or certifications in culinary arts or hospitality management
