Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills. Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Ensure the presentation of dishes meets the restaurant's standards for quality and aesthetics.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable. Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring junior staff members. A creative approach to menu development combined with an understanding of customer preferences.
