Following the re-opening of our poolside facilities after a major re-build and development of a new garden terrace area our food sales have increased significantly. Hence, we are looking to recruit a talented Chef to join the Riverhills team to help continue our excellent reputation for great food and further develop the food and beverage offering The role involves the preparation and serving of hot and cold food - generally prepared from fresh ingredients.
The successful applicant will dovetail with the head chef, maintaining high standards on same and separate shifts. The successful applicant will be required to work in a shift pattern, including day shifts, weekends and some early evening shifts (until 8pm) as the food operations expand. We will expect you to ensure that all food production is in line with our high standards and commit to the consistent delivery of quality, well-presented food to various clients of Riverhills.
Candidates will need to have some experience, food hygiene training and have the ability to work unsupervised with high standards of food preparation.
Responsibilities
Lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals consistently.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
Assist in developing and designing innovative menus that cater to our guests' preferences.
Manage food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support as needed.
Collaborate with management to optimize food costs while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small shift team.
In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and management.
