Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise resources
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, ensuring creativity and customer satisfaction
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and teamwork capabilities
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and high performance
Skills
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Excellent culinary skills with expertise in food preparation across diverse cuisines
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment
Experience in restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence
Organised approach to managing multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining quality standards
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
