Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Weekly working hours will be 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food production activities. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods. Maintain a positive and productive work environment through effective team management.

Skills

Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen teams. Proficient in food production techniques and culinary practices. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and other departments. A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight guests. Experience working in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is preferred.
