We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and preparation, demonstrating exceptional cooking skills and a strong understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while leading and managing the kitchen team effectively.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines.
Manage food production processes, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, complying with health and safety regulations.
Implement food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
