Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Develop and implement new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organisation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in menu planning and food production is highly desirable.
