Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team at Jamrock. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead a team in creating exceptional dining experiences.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflow. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all meals served. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional service to guests. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels. Create seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef/Cook or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in menu planning and development is advantageous.
