We are a busy medium sized cafe in the heart of Lisburn.

We make most things fresh and in house.

We are open 7 days and this successful candidate will be off 1 in every 2 Sunday.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team.

As a Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Manage food production processes, ensuring timely service and quality control. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to coordinate serving times and menu specials. Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain stock. Implement new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Previous experience in food production, including menu planning and execution. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, fostering collaboration between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
