We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to lead the kitchen at a welcoming pub in Walsingham, Norfolk. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, consistency, and strong culinary leadership to our food operation. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high standards in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
Manage, train, and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Create and update menus that reflect seasonal availability and customer preferences.
Take ownership of food stock management, ordering, and minimising waste.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest experiences.
Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism within the kitchen at all times.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Chef in a hospitality or food service setting.
Strong culinary skills and a hands-on approach to kitchen leadership.
Confidence in managing a kitchen team and running all aspects of food service.
Knowledge of cost control, stock rotation, and waste minimisation.
Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Food Safety Level 2 or higher (preferred).
A genuine passion for good food, pub culture, and hospitality.
