Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking within the kitchen. Develop and design innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Manage kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure high performance. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Assist in the development of cost-effective menus while maintaining quality standards. Prepare meals according to recipes or customer specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

Skills

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A passion for food and an eagerness to help create memorable dining experiences for guests.
