Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to create seasonal menus that reflect current food trends and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency in taste and appearance.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food production techniques. Experience in a hospitality environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Proven ability to supervise and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Passion for cooking with a creative approach to menu development and dish presentation. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.50-15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
