Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and kitchen procedures. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate supplies. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Handle any customer feedback or complaints with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective team collaboration. 2 years previous restaurant experience is essential.
