Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team immediately for their next opportunity to run a kitchen, to join our growing team in SW London. We are a friendly, local wine bar serving oysters and sharing platters so a passion for food with an interest in creating new dishes for our seasonal menu is a must.
.The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Duties:
Working as part of team within our busy local wine bar helping to prep and serve our oysters and sharing platters
Preparing and displaying each dish so it looks and tastes amazing
Efficient at prepping multiple dishes to ensure a fast service
Sharing menu knowledge and inspiring our FOH team to sell our food to customers
Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including specials, ingredients, and preparation methods
Managing stock and placing orders with our suppliers to ensure we never run out but manage waste effectively
A mixture of shifts including evenings and weekends.
We're looking for a Chef who:
Has previous hospitality experience or transferable service skills. Is excited by this opportunity and interested in what we do. Strives for excellence and inspires others. Demonstrates authenticity, cultivating genuine connections with both guests and team members. Holds the Right to Work in the UK.
This position offers a competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment with lots of opportunity for growth. This is a permanent position offering 35 to 45 hours per week at 17/hours , plus a fixed service charge of 600/month based on a 40-hour week.
