Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
Monitor food presentation and quality to ensure consistency across all dishes served.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar setting is essential.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and culinary trends.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
