Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to ensure cost-effective operations. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment usage. Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality of service.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment as a Chef or Cook. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary arts, with creativity in menu development. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff and management alike.
