Job Description

As a member of our kitchen team you'll be a valuable part of a team that thrives on the pressure of working in a busy food operation. You'll work alongside our Chefs as part of a tight-knit team in an exciting, fast-moving environment, preparing fresh locally sourced ingredients.

We have a small menu with both hot and cold dishes for dine-in or takeaway - mostly centred around the rotisserie-roasted meat offerings but also including freshly baked bread, sandwiches, and desserts.

Duties



Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cleaning and completing orders during service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in menu planning and development as needed.

Requirements



Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred. Experience with Rotisserie ovens is desirable. Experience with baking bread and desserts is desirable. Experience with completing orders for takeaway platforms such as Deliveroo. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
The main kitchen opening times for dine-in customers will be 11pm-9pm which means that day time/morning availability is required for this role but no late nights!
