Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team in Stockport . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food safety and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. Your ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment will be essential to our success.

Hours will be full time Wednesday - Sunday with very little evening work.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Implement and maintain food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food preparation, and hospitality standards. Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary arts. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional dining experience.
