Duties
Oversee all kitchen operations and food preparation
Design seasonal menus: halal carvery (beef, lamb, chicken, turkey), bistro classics (fish and chips, shepherd's pie, steaks), fast food, curry specialties (tikka masala, vindaloo, rogan josh, korma), British staples (traditional desserts), premium halal steaks
Manage daily service with proper cooking and presentation
Develop and standardize recipes for consistency
Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes
Monitor portion control and minimize waste
Supervise dishwashing and cleaning support staff
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and halal compliance
Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations
Control food costs within budget
Analyse menu profitability and adjust offerings
Manage equipment maintenance
Accommodate special dietary requirements and guest preferences
Create menus for special events and private dining
Interact with guests and handle complaints professionally
Implement HACCP protocols and conduct kitchen inspections
Maintain records of inventory, costs, and schedules
Complete management reports
Stay updated on food trends in English and halal cuisine
