We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a flair for creativity, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation, and delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure efficient workflow.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen team members to enhance their culinary skills and foster teamwork.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency in dishes served.
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals as needed, demonstrating hands-on leadership.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Must be able to cook and understand Asian dishes/spices is essential
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food production methods, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
