The Renaissance at Kelham Hall are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a dynamic kitchen environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation while ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Implement and maintain food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Develop new menu items and specials that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.
Experience
Must be able to cook and understand Asian dishes/spices is essential
Proven experience in a Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
Supervising experience is essential, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
Previous experience in food production is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
