Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food production and service. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications and food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure consistent food production. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including cooking methods, presentation, and plating. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
