At Wroxham Barns we have five catering outlets; Courtyard Cafe, Farmyard Cafe, Pizza Pantry, Greedy Goat and the Donut Shack.

This role reports to the Catering Manager.

Working previously in a catering environment is preferred.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our catering operations, ensuring that all food and beverage services are delivered to the highest standards. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for the various catering outlets. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all catering. Help with inventory management, including tracking supplies and assisting with ordering when necessary. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of food items. Maintain and adhere to high health and safety standards of the catering department. Following in place procedures and reporting any issues to senior staff. Ensuring a high standard of presentation and that servery and dining areas are clean at all times and that catering cleaning schedules are completed.

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant or culinary environment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and other team members. Experience in catering or hospitality settings is an advantage. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed. A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented atmosphere.
