Job Description

Our Premier Steakhouse Brand is looking for a Grill Chef/Chef De Partie for our busy restaurant Broomhill Inn in Hucknall, Nottingham.



We pride ourselves in our fantastic steaks from our in-house butchery and we also pride ourselves with our fresh Sunday lunch, so the ideal candidates must be able to cook a fresh sunday lunch.



The ideal candidate will be a confident chef who is looking for the next move in there career to come and join our already established team.



The correct candidate will be able to achieve the following:

Food preparation. Safe food and knife handling. High attention to detail. High-volume, fast-paced work ethic. Ability to stay calm in high-stress situations. Team player with excellent communication. Be Confident in grilling, and be able to work a busy grill. Be able to cook steaks to all levels of cooking.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the meal preparation process, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures.

Skills



Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

Day shift Every weekend Monday to Friday Night shift
Experience:

Chef: 1 year (preferred)
