Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency across all dishes. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, including seasonal specials and new dishes. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help manage kitchen schedules to ensure efficient staffing during peak hours. Provide support during service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in food presentation.
