Duties
Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow.
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu specifications, maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared safely and hygienically.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste while adhering to budget constraints.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and skill development.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
Collaborate with management on menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Provide exceptional service during meal times, engaging with guests to enhance their dining experience.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry.
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
Previous experience in culinary training or mentoring is advantageous.
