Responsibilities



Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards in the kitchen. Manage inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Collaborate with team members to create innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Monitor kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards. Assist in the development of seasonal menus while considering dietary restrictions and preferences of guests.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for kitchen hygiene. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating diverse dishes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not essential if experience is substantial. Stock rotation and ordering. Can work under pressure on own initiative and as a team. Flexible and reliable. Can work daytimes, evenings and weekends.

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
