Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate part time Chef to join our team at Isabella's restaurant in Porthcawl. The restaurant has a great reputation in the area with regular customers and we need to recruit as we have extended our opening hours.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation in a similar high-end restaurant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

Support the head chef in the daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and production. Help create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Supervise food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. A good team player who will work to high standards. Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning in the field.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week

Work Location: In person
