Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership and team management skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for cooking food that delights our guests while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires both creativity in the kitchen and the ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications Occasionally take order from customers and take payment Supervise and train future kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal specials Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen environment Strong background in food production and preparation techniques Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff Culinary experience with a passion for cooking and hospitality Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership skills, with effective communication abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
