Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Develop new menu items that reflect current food trends while maintaining the restaurant's identity- a homely village pub. The specials board is where you can shine! Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Requirements

Experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Proficiency in food preparation methods and presentation styles. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. A kind and approachable demeanour is essential.
