Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a flair for creating exceptional dishes. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Develop new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals. Creative flair for developing new dishes while maintaining consistency in quality. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential.
