We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our growing village pub/restuarant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity in the kitchen. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will support the head chef Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and equipped for optimal performance. Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling costs effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise with staff and management effectively. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
