We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Responsibilities



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with management on menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.

Experience



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required. Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly desirable. Excellent leadership abilities with strong communication skills to effectively manage the kitchen team. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to guests. This will be a dual-site role so the ideal candidate will need to be able to drive or access both our Oughtibridge site and our Kelham Island site easily.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
