Job Description

Key duties of a commis chef may include:

Basic food preparation:

Washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and prepping various vegetables, meats, and seafood.

Cooking tasks:

Assisting in the cooking process by sauteing, grilling, boiling, steaming, or frying ingredients according to recipes.

Station maintenance:

Keeping assigned work areas clean and organized, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.

Stock rotation:

Helping to manage inventory by rotating stock to ensure freshness.

Plate presentation:

Basic plating of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.

Following instructions:

Carefully following recipes and instructions from chefs de partie or head chef.

Learning culinary techniques:

Developing skills in knife handling, seasoning, and cooking methods.

Cleaning and sanitation:

Maintaining kitchen hygiene standards by cleaning equipment and work surfaces
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 15.00 per hour
