We are seeking a committed and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a background in kitchen operations and food production, with a flair for creating delicious dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen. We are looking for someone that can work on their own and as part of a team to assist the head chef in running a smooth operation.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced.
Develop and implement creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise cost efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve culinary offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Creative mindset with a passion for developing innovative dishes.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
