Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff in daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food quality.
Plan and prepare menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Monitor inventory levels, manage food production, and minimise waste through effective stock control.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation skills, and best practices in food safety.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
