Do you love being a chef, but hate the unsociable hours? We're looking for a breakfast & lunch chef to join our growing business. The food service hours are Mon - Fri 8am - 2.30pm and 8am - 3pm Sat & Sun. This is a great opportunity for a chef to maintain that work/life balance, which is so rare in the hospitality industry. We currently serve breakfast and lunch only, with the occasional evening event.
The Sous Chef will report to the Head Chef and be involved in the day-to-day running of a kitchen for breakfast and lunch service.
They will be required to be able to work as a part of a team but also alone at times. The key skills desired for this role include;
In-depth knowledge of the kitchen's routines and utensils
Ability to grasp and follow the Head Chef's culinary instructions
Knowledge of food preparation methods and presentation
Knowledge of how to maintain and care for culinary utensils
Ability to work under pressure through rapid deadlines
Clear understanding of HACCP
Lone working as well as a part of a team
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
