Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and innovation in the kitchen. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, and leading a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership skills will be essential in creating a positive and efficient work environment.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Develop and implement new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality food production. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency and quality. Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask efficiently. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable. Previous experience in supervising kitchen staff is an advantage.
