We are looking for an experienced chef capable of working a busy breakfast & brunch shift on Friday & Saturday & Sunday Brunch. Daytime only 7am/8am - 3:30pm/2:30pm. Occasional evenings for speciality nights.
This is a great role for a creative chef who is looking to join a friendly, family-owned & run business. You will be part of a chef team of 2 chefs & 2 kitchen hands, where you alternate shifts. We are looking for a passionate, well-trained, and hardworking individual that is able to work on their own and use common sense and logic, with an eye for detail. The team will also be in control of monthly specials.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work to instructions, have flawless food hygiene standards/knowledge, as well as have quality organizational systems in place and food hygiene certification.
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent systems knowledge, H&S, and EHO recording
Level 2 Food & Hygiene
Confidence, enthusiasm, and understanding of how a kitchen works
Positivity when working with and giving direction to your team
Able to work on your own on quieter days
Maintain high levels of personal hygiene and immaculate presentation
Work well within the team, communicating effectively with all necessary team members
Give and receive instructions courteously, showing respect to all and to those who manage you
Ensure stock levels are efficient and forward any food orders to the head chef/management to order
Solid understanding of how to control wastage
Ensure all food preparation tasks have been completed in time for the day's service
Manage the kitchen cleanliness, always working with a 'clean as you go' mentality.
Experience in making pizza is desirable
