Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious dishes that reflect our restaurant's vision while leading and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Care Home Chef experience is preferable.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high levels of performance. Assist in menu planning, including the development of new recipes and seasonal offerings. Manage inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively. Proficient in various cooking techniques, with a passion for culinary arts. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques.

Pay: 15.82-16.70 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 48 per week
